Connor Methven vs Bryan Aikens

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at El Zaribah Shriners Auditorium, Phoenix,  taking place on 21/02/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Connor Methven (6 - 0) who hails from Columbus, USA and Bryan Aikens(1 - 0) from Spokane, USA.  Methven weighed in at 147 pounds, while Aikens weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Lloyd Findlay, and the three ringside judges are Enzo Febus, James Weir and Santiago Sanabria.  

Round 1: 

Methven pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Methven lands a left hook.  
Aikens manouvers Methven onto the ropes.  Methven strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Methven lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Methven forces Aikens to retreat into the red corner.  Methven throws a left hook, but is not on target.  Methven clinches his opponent.  Methven is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Methven is looking to close the distance.  Methven sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Aikens tries to step out of his opponents range.  Methven lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Methven sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Methven throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Methven's liver.  
Methven steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Aikens tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.
