Carlos Chaparro vs Santiago Aragon

Boxing Daily Report from the Yalley Promotions promoted show at Roman Rodriquez Gym, Guayaquil,  taking place on 18/03/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Carlos Chaparro (11 - 8(2) - 1) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Santiago Aragon(21 - 13(6) - 2) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Chaparro and Aragon weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Olmos, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Andrada, Quiqui Rubi and Juan Corzo.  

Round 1: 

Aragon hits home with a left hook.  
Chaparro feints a left, and then lands a right hook.  
Chaparro connects with a cross.  
Aragon advances into close range.  Aragon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Chaparro hits home with a right hook.  
Aragon voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Chaparro steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Aragon attempts to land a jab, but Chaparro dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Chaparro's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Aragon's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Aragon closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Aragon dabs at his face checking for damage.

Aragon advances into close range.  Chaparro sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Aragon digs in a left hook to Chaparro's liver.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Chaparro has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
