Santiago Mingo vs Gonzalo Diaz

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Argentina-Chaco promoted show at Resistencia Pinzon, Resistencia,  taking place on 13/04/2032:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Argentina-Chaco Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Mingo (4 - 6 - 1) who hails from Resistencia, Argentina and Gonzalo Diaz(24(4) - 2) from Resistencia, Argentina.  Mingo weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces, while Diaz weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Iago Minjares, and the three ringside judges are Xaver Ciprian, Luis Perea and Sancho Po.  

Round 1: 

Diaz closes the distance and forces Mingo to retreat into the corner.  Diaz lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Diaz pivots to the left of his opponent.  Mingo throws a right uppercut, but Diaz holds on to his opponent.  Diaz hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Diaz to stop fouling.

Mingo tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.

Diaz throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Diaz ties up his opponent.  Diaz pushes his forearm into Mingo's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Diaz steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Diaz clinches his opponent.  Diaz leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mingo tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.  
Mingo steps away from his opponent and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Diaz steps inside and digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.

Mingo could be stopped here, if Diaz can find the right shot!  Diaz lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS MINGO TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Mingo now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Diaz is on target with a right hook to Mingo's body.  
Diaz sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Diaz lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Diaz ties up his opponent.  Mingo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Mingo quickly recovers. 
Diaz walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Diaz drives a solid left uppercut into Mingo's body.  
Diaz digs in a left hook to Mingo's body.  
Mingo attempts to land a left hook, but Diaz parries the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
As Diaz tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mingo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Mingo's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Mingo's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
