Ben Katekelayi vs Gage Ponce

Boxing Daily Report from the South African Boxers promoted show at Volkswagen  Dobsonville Stadium, Soweto,  taking place on 08/05/2032:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the African Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on M-Net, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ben Katekelayi (19 - 4(1)) who hails from Cape Town, South Africa and Gage Ponce(14(8) - 10(2) - 3) from Bamenda, Cameroon.  Katekelayi weighed in at 122 pounds, while Ponce weighed in at 121 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Asavela Sikali, and the three ringside judges are Quaddus Rascalimu, Tshepo Nqakula and Zachary Du Toit.
