Jay Nkolola vs Banji Kagwe

Boxing Daily Report from the South African Boxers promoted show at Nkana Stadium, Kitwe,  taking place on 22/05/2032:

Clearly South African Boxers have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Eastern African Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jay Nkolola (7(2) - 0) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Banji Kagwe(14 - 13(1)) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Both Nkolola and Kagwe weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jasper Munda, and the three ringside judges are Denzel Silwimba, Kaleb Mukwena and Tamarius Miyanda.  

Round 1: 

Nkolola gets on the inside.  Nkolola lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Nkolola clinches his opponent.  Nkolola pushes his forearm into Kagwe's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nkolola to stop fouling.  Kagwe wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nkolola dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Nkolola gets on the inside.  Kagwe sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kagwe throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Nkolola pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nkolola is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Nkolola clinches his opponent.  Nkolola leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Nkolola's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kagwe dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Nkolola forces Kagwe to retreat onto the ropes.  Nkolola digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Nkolola advances into close range and digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Nkolola steps inside.  Nkolola pivots from in front of his opponent.  Nkolola tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Nkolola cuts off the ring, trapping Kagwe in a corner.  Kagwe throws a left uppercut, but Nkolola clinches his opponent.  Nkolola leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.

Kagwe lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Nkolola closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kagwe's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Kagwe's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Kagwe's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Kagwe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nkolola throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Nkolola lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Nkolola advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Kagwe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Nkolola lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Kagwe manages to force Nkolola into a corner.  Kagwe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nkolola is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Kagwe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nkolola finds the target with a jab.  
Kagwe sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Nkolola lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Nkolola senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Kagwe and just needs the right shot.  Nkolola lands a left uppercut, cross and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head, AND KAGWE IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  Kagwe now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
