Paul Morris vs Wayne Courau

Boxing Daily Report from the Jali Promotions promoted show at Wildhorse Saloon, Nashville,  taking place on 11/05/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the USA-Pacific Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Morris (15(10) - 4) who hails from Chula Vista, USA and Wayne Courau(20 - 15(3) - 3) from Seattle, USA.  Morris weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces, while Courau weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Farquharson, and the three ringside judges are Michael Wynne, Sam Rendall and Elliot Mathias.  

Round 1: 

Morris connects with a right hook.  
Courau attempts to land a right hook, but Morris slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Morris tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Courau pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Morris advances into close range and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Morris lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Morris ties up his opponent.  Morris pushes his forearm into Courau's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Morris.  
Morris is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Morris steps inside.  Courau pivots to the right of his opponent.  Morris lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  
Morris closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Courau switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Morris steps inside.  Courau pivots to the side of his opponent.  Morris lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Morris advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Morris clinches his opponent.  Morris throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Morris and breaks the clinch.  
Morris walks Courau down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Morris lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Courau lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Courau connects with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Courau's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Courau is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Morris lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Morris gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Courau lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Morris advances into close range.  Courau pivots to the left of his opponent.  Courau throws a right hook, but Morris clinches his opponent.  Morris hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Morris about fouling.  
Morris manages to force Courau onto the ropes.  Courau digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Courau lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Courau walks Morris down, trapping him on the ropes.  Morris drives a sharp left hook into Courau's body.  
Morris pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Morris is looking to close the distance and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Courau pivots to the side of his opponent.  Courau lands a hard jab.  Courau tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Morris advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Morris drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Morris closes the distance and digs in a firm left hook to Courau's ribs.  
Morris throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Morris crashes a big left hook to Courau's body.  COURAU WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Courau recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Morris forces Courau to back into the corner.  Morris lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Morris pivots to the left of his opponent and whips in a big right hook to Courau's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE COURAU WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Courau almost instantly recovers. 
Morris is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Morris lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Courau lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Morris steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Morris advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Morris is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Morris connects with a CRUSHING left uppercut.  COURAU IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  Courau now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Morris lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  Morris ties up his opponent.  Morris leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Morris cuts off the ring, trapping Courau on the ropes.  Morris lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Morris lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Courau quickly recovers. 
Morris lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Morris is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Morris lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS COURAU TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Morris!
