Rex Sim vs David Mulloy

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at The Sugar Mill, New Orleans,  taking place on 06/05/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rex Sim (12(9) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Yuma, USA and David Mulloy(3 - 5(2) - 1) from Newark, USA.  Both Sim and Mulloy weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Southerland, and the three ringside judges are Adam Morris, Amon Harnois and Ricky Glasco.  

Round 1: 

Sim gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Mulloy finds the target with a jab.  
Sim closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Sim holds on to his opponent.  Sim is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sim digs in a left hook to Mulloy's body.  
Sim lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Sim and breaks the clinch.  
Sim is on target with a left hook to Mulloy's ribs.  Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Sim pushes his forearm into Mulloy's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sim about fouling.  Sim tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sim lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  Sim holds on to his opponent.  Sim is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sim is on target with a left hook to Mulloy's body.  
Sim pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into Mulloy's ribs.  
Sim steps inside and is on target with a right uppercut to Mulloy's body.  
Sim walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Sim hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Sim gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Sim has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Sim digs in a left uppercut to Mulloy's ribs.  
Mulloy throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Sim is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sim digs in a right uppercut to Mulloy's body.  
Mulloy advances into close range.  Sim lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sim feints a jab, tricking Mulloy into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Sim avoids the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Mulloy pivots to the right of his opponent.  Sim digs in a solid right hook to Mulloy's body.  
Sim is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Sim lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Sim lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sim's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sim quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mulloy's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Mulloy's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Mulloy's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Sim!
