Santiago Montalvo vs Macario Tercero

Boxing Daily Report from the Kirya Promotions promoted show at Ciudad Guayana Mare, Ciudad Guayana,  taking place on 01/05/2032:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Venezuela-Bolivar Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Montalvo (13 - 13(2) - 1) who hails from Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela and Macario Tercero(4(3) - 0) from Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela.  Both Montalvo and Tercero weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Diego Pina, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Brasil, Saturnin Busto and Loredo Chirinos.  

Round 1: 

Tercero lands an overhand right.  
Tercero gets on the inside and lands a stinging right hook.  
Tercero hits home with a hard jab.  
Montalvo tries to step out of his opponents range.  Tercero lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Tercero steps inside.  Tercero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Montalvo tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Tercero lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Tercero advances into close range and manages to force Montalvo into a corner.  Tercero lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Tercero hits home with a firm cross.  
Tercero is looking to close the distance.  Montalvo throws a left hook, but Tercero clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Tercero pushes his forearm into Montalvo's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Tercero to stop fouling.

Tercero steps inside and connects with a left hook.  Tercero clinches his opponent.  Tercero leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Montalvo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Tercero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Tercero sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a hard jab.  
Tercero steps inside and hits home with a solid right hook.  Tercero ties up his opponent.  Tercero tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Montalvo behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Tercero to stop fouling.  
Tercero is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Tercero gets on the inside.  Tercero pivots to the left of his opponent.  Tercero is on target with a right hook to Montalvo's body.  Tercero attempts to land a left hook, but Montalvo parries the shot and counters with a left hook.

Montalvo tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook.

Tercero walks Montalvo onto the ropes.  Montalvo throws a left hook, but Tercero holds on to his opponent.  Tercero uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Montalvo behind the head.

Tercero steps inside.  Montalvo connects with a left hook.  
Tercero is looking to keep his distance.  Montalvo attempts to land a cross, but Tercero slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Montalvo's body.  
Tercero is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS MONTALVO TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Tercero walks Montalvo into the corner.  Tercero senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Montalvo and just needs the right shot.  Tercero lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head, AND DROPS MONTALVO TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  Montalvo now seems to have got his legs back.

Montalvo lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Tercero is on target with a jab.  
Montalvo tries to land a cross, but Tercero blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Montalvo's body.  
Tercero pivots to the side of his opponent.  Tercero lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Tercero holds on to his opponent.  Tercero leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Tercero sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a stinging right hook.  
Tercero lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Montalvo throws a left hook, but Tercero holds on to his opponent.  Tercero leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Montalvo's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Tercero gets on the inside.  Tercero sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.

Tercero is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Montalvo is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Tercero is on target with a hard jab.
