Diego Montanez vs Carlos Corchado

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Javier Cruz Artes y Oficios, Panama City,  taking place on 14/06/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Panama Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NEXtv, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Diego Montanez (18(15) - 3(1)) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Carlos Corchado(9 - 7(1) - 1) from Panama City, Panama.  Montanez weighed in at 168 pounds, while Corchado weighed in at 167 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Manuel Gutierres, and the three ringside judges are Diego Vences, Nicandro Gomez and Diego Mondragon.  

Round 1: 

Montanez gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Montanez gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging left hook to Corchado's body.  
Montanez lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Corchado feints a right hook, and then lands a sharp jab.

As Montanez tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Corchado has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
