Franco Salmeron vs Barry David

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Webster Hall, New York City,  taking place on 12/05/2032:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Franco Salmeron (10(6) - 2 - 1) who hails from Carolina, Puerto Rico and Barry David(9 - 1 - 4) from Chicago, USA.  Both Salmeron and David weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Enzo Manso, and the three ringside judges are James McQueen, John Catterson and Francesco Gamba.  

Round 1: 

Salmeron lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Salmeron lands a cross.  
Salmeron tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Salmeron hits home with an overhand right.  
David closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but Salmeron clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Salmeron pushes his forearm into David's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Salmeron steps away from his opponent.  David throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
David closes the distance.  Salmeron pivots to the right of his opponent.  Salmeron lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  Salmeron ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Salmeron pushes his forearm into David's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Salmeron about fouling.  
Salmeron backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  David accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Salmeron.  
David is looking to close the distance and throws a right uppercut, but Salmeron clinches his opponent.  Salmeron is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Salmeron steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Salmeron steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Salmeron lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Salmeron lands an overhand right.  
David sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  David tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Salmeron is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

David is looking to close the distance.  Salmeron lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  David wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Salmeron dabs at his face checking for damage.  
David closes the distance.  Salmeron lands a right uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  Salmeron clinches his opponent.  Salmeron tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits David's kidney. The ref breaks Salmeron's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
David throws a right uppercut, but Salmeron holds on to his opponent.  David is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns David and breaks the clinch.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Salmeron's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  David's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  David's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

He then lands a cross, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING DAVID TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Salmeron!
