Ray Barthez vs Brin Pendry

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at GAT Gym, Gaineau,  taking place on 12/05/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Ray Barthez (8(1) - 0) who hails from Quebec City, Canada and Brin Pendry(10 - 17(4) - 3) from Burnaby, Canada.  Barthez weighed in at 130 pounds, while Pendry weighed in at 129 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Olier Paradis, and the three ringside judges are Paris Clarin, Verrier Luna and Bruce Hathorne.  

Round 1: 

Pendry switches the action to the outside.  Barthez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a sharp cross.  
Barthez sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a stinging right uppercut to Pendry's ribs.  
Barthez closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Barthez is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Barthez digs in a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  
Barthez digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Barthez drives a solid right hook into Pendry's body.  
Barthez feints a jab, tricking Pendry into launching a cross counter.  Barthez springs the trap, countering with  a sharp cross.  
Pendry tries to step out of his opponents range.  Barthez lands with a stiff jab.  
Barthez lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Barthez manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Barthez lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Barthez digs in a firm right uppercut to Pendry's ribcage.  As Barthez tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pendry dabs at his face checking for damage.  Pendry has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused swelling  around the right eye.  
Barthez lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Barthez steps inside and lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Barthez lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Barthez lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Barthez lands a left uppercut followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Barthez lands two left uppercut's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Barthez gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pendry is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Barthez lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Barthez finds the target with a jab.  
Barthez advances into close range.  Barthez sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Barthez attempts to land a left hook, but Pendry blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pendry's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Pendry's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Barthez advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  
Barthez drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Barthez is on target with a firm cross.  
Barthez steps inside.  Barthez lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Barthez wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Pendry.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Barthez drives a right hook into Pendry's ribs.  
Pendry tries to step out of his opponents range.  Barthez throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Barthez advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Barthez lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Barthez dabs at his face checking for damage.

Barthez drives a right hook into Pendry's ribcage.  
Barthez throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Pendry's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Barthez lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Pendry switches the action to the outside.  Barthez lands a cross.  
Barthez steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Barthez is on target with a firm left hook to Pendry's liver.  
Barthez is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pendry is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Barthez finds the target with a jab.  
Barthez throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Barthez clinches his opponent.  Barthez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Barthez.  
Pendry feints a right hook, and then lands a left hook.

Barthez lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Pendry now seems to have his senses back.  
Pendry tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Barthez is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Pendry steps away from his opponent.  Barthez lands a straight 1 - 2.
