Ian Muntari vs Irfan Dia

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Northern Ghana promoted show at Sammy Rahman Gym, Tamale,  taking place on 18/04/2032:

Clearly AI Ghana-Northern Ghana have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Northern Ghana Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Muntari (12 - 11(1) - 3) who hails from Tamale, Ghana and Irfan Dia(4(2) - 2) from Tamale, Ghana.  Both Muntari and Dia weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Makalo Donkor, and the three ringside judges are Robert Eck, Nabulung Akamenya and Obiajulu Alhassan.  

Round 1: 

Muntari throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Dia advances into close range and tries to land a right uppercut, but Muntari dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Muntari throws a right hook, but Dia holds on to his opponent.  Dia is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dia lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Dia gets on the inside and drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Dia hits home with a left hook.  
Dia pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm right uppercut to Muntari's body.

Dia digs in a stinging left uppercut to Muntari's body.  
Muntari steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Dia is looking to close the distance and walks Muntari down, trapping him on the ropes.  Muntari throws a right uppercut, but Dia ties up his opponent.  Dia pushes his forearm into Muntari's face.  The ref breaks Dia's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dia steps inside and digs in a firm left hook to Muntari's body.  
Dia drives a right uppercut into Muntari's body.  
Dia drives a firm right uppercut into Muntari's ribs.  
Dia lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Muntari steps away from his opponent and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Dia advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Dia ties up his opponent.  Dia leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Dia pushes his forearm into Muntari's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Dia to stop fouling.

Muntari switches the action to the outside.  Dia quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Dia gets on the inside and drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Dia manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Muntari throws a left hook, but Dia holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Dia pushes his forearm into Muntari's face.  The referee warns Dia and breaks the clinch.  
Dia lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES MUNTARI!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Muntari almost instantly recovers. 
Muntari pivots from in front of his opponent.  Dia lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Dia digs in a sharp left hook to Muntari's body.  
Muntari switches the action to the outside.  Muntari stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Dia lands a cross.  Dia throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Muntari's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.
