Alen Valis vs David Barthez

Boxing Daily Report from the Dubango Promotions promoted show at Gareth Rankin Gym, Nashville,  taking place on 30/04/2032:

Clearly Dubango Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Tennessee Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alen Valis (3 - 23(1) - 5) who hails from Memphis, USA and David Barthez(7 - 11(1) - 4) from Memphis, USA.  Both Valis and Barthez weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Clint Blagg, and the three ringside judges are Ian Sandison, Dan Stevenson and Dave Hresko.  

Round 1: 

Barthez advances into close range.  Barthez pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Barthez lands a left uppercut.  
Barthez backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Valis accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Barthez.  Valis is on target with a left hook.

Valis steps to the outside.  Barthez attempts to land a jab, but Valis slips the shot and counters with a left hook to Barthez's body.
