Gervasio Mirando vs Ove Flattum

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at AT&T Park, San Francisco,  taking place on 15/07/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gervasio Mirando (39(37) - 2(1)) who hails from Manta, Ecuador and Ove Flattum(36(33) - 7(7)) from Oslo, Norway.  Mirando weighed in at 111 pounds and 12 ounces, while Flattum weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Blake Travis, and the three ringside judges are Joey Catherwood, Jack Apted and Michael Rice.  

Round 1:

Mirando switches the action to the outside and is on target with a stinging jab to Flattum's body.  Mirando tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Flattum steps inside.  Mirando lands a left hook.  Mirando attempts to land a left uppercut, but Flattum blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Mirando tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Flattum quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Flattum throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Flattum walks Mirando down, trapping him on the ropes.  Flattum hits home with a right hook.  
Flattum lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Flattum closes the distance and forces Mirando to retreat onto the ropes.  Mirando SLAMS a nasty right hook into his opponents face.  FLATTUM HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mirando's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Flattum's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Flattum's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Mirando steps to the outside.  Mirando lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  The ref is taking a close look at Flattum.  He takes another big shot from his opponent and the ref stops the action!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Mirando!
