Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Northern Ghana promoted show at Tamale Quainoo, Tamale,  taking place on 17/06/2032:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ghana-Northern Ghana Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Azam Lodhi (9(6) - 1) who hails from Tamale, Ghana and Oscar Afrani(9 - 14 - 2) from Tamale, Ghana.  Lodhi weighed in at 126 pounds, while Afrani weighed in at 125 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rich Burja, and the three ringside judges are Antwan Asamoah, Tamarius Moyoyo and Fraser Habe.

Afrani cuts off the ring, trapping Lodhi on the ropes.  Afrani throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.

Lodhi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a stinging cross.  
Afrani gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Lodhi ties up his opponent.  Lodhi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Lodhi tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Afrani's kidney. The referee warns Lodhi and breaks the clinch.  
Lodhi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.

Lodhi lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  Lodhi ties up his opponent.  Lodhi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Afrani throws a left hook, but Lodhi holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Lodhi pushes his forearm into Afrani's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lodhi about fouling.  
Lodhi lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Lodhi lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Lodhi lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Lodhi steps inside and lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Afrani recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Afrani feints a jab, but Lodhi ignores the feint and lands with a firm cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Afrani's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Lodhi forces Afrani to retreat into the blue corner.  Lodhi is on target with a firm right hook.  Lodhi ties up his opponent.  Lodhi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lodhi DETONATES a mean left hook on his opponents face.  AFRANI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Afrani now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
