David Griffith vs Dominic Nicholson

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Wellington promoted show at Stuart Stealey Gym, Wellington,  taking place on 23/06/2032:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Wellington Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Griffith (4 - 10 - 2) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Dominic Nicholson(10 - 1 - 2) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Griffith weighed in at 117 pounds and 7 ounces, while Nicholson weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mel Binner, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Swanson, Glynn Morgan and Barry Christeson.  

Round 1: 

Griffith quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Griffith dabs at his face checking for damage.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Griffith has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
