Jack Wathen vs Kieran Haden

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at National Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 04/07/2032:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jack Wathen (6(5) - 0) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Kieran Haden(11 - 18 - 1) from Waterford, Ireland.  Both Wathen and Haden weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Clinton MacAdam, and the three ringside judges are Fionn Donnell, Leon Finnin and Roy Spalding.  

Round 1: 

Wathen closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Wathen is on target with a solid right hook.  
Haden tries to step out of his opponents range.  Wathen lands a stiff jab.  
Wathen closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Haden is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Wathen lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Wathen advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Wathen drives a right hook into Haden's body.

Haden throws a left hook, but Wathen clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Wathen pushes his forearm into Haden's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Wathen lands a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Haden dabs at his face checking for damage.

Wathen lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Wathen clinches his opponent.  Wathen pushes his forearm into Haden's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Wathen to stop fouling.  
Wathen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Wathen forces Haden to retreat into a corner.  Wathen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Wathen connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
Wathen lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Wathen lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Wathen is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Wathen ties up his opponent.  Wathen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Wathen throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Wathen holds on to his opponent.  Haden leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Wathen forces Haden to back into the corner.  Wathen lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Wathen wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Haden has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Wathen closes the distance.  Haden throws a left uppercut, but Wathen holds on to his opponent.  Wathen uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Haden behind the head. 
Wathen feints a jab and triggers a right uppercut counter from Haden.  Wathen springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.  
Wathen steps inside and lands a right hook.  
Haden pivots to the left of his opponent.  Wathen connects with a firm right uppercut.

Wathen steps inside and DETONATES a mean right uppercut on his opponents face.  HADEN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Haden switches the action to the outside.  Some sustained pressure from Wathen could be enough to finish Haden!  Wathen lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING HADEN DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but Haden is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Wathen!
