Uba Ako vs Adnan Azzam

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Dawu Sports Stadium, Accra,  taking place on 17/07/2032:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Uba Ako (7 - 1) who hails from Tamale, Ghana and Adnan Azzam(19 - 7) from Accra, Ghana.  Ako weighed in at 117 pounds and 12 ounces, while Azzam weighed in at 117 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John Adu, and the three ringside judges are Deion Ayew, Vashon Asamoah and Uland Attakora.  

Round 1: 

Ako hits home with a sharp cross.

Azzam wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ako dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Ako.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
