Gul Shahan vs James Shand

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Bell Centre, Montreal,  taking place on 14/08/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the WRBO Intercontinental Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gul Shahan (15(8) - 4(3)) who hails from Bursa, Turkey and James Shand(37(29) - 4(3)) from Toronto, Canada.  Both Shahan and Shand weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Granger Hinault, and the three ringside judges are Varocher Painchaud, Elliot Girardot and Nicholas Prior.  

Round 1: 

Shahan throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Shand manouvers Shahan onto the ropes.  Shahan lands with a stiff jab.  Shahan attempts to land a jab, but Shand slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Shand hits home with a stinging cross.  Shand tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Shand closes the distance.  Shahan drives a left hook into Shand's body.  Shahan tries to land a left hook, but Shand blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Shand finds the target with a jab.  
Shand lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Shahan advances into close range and attempts to land a left hook, but Shand sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.

Shahan closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Shand quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.

Shahan steps inside.  Shand hits home with a left hook.  
Shahan lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Shahan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a cross to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Shahan's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Shand's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Shahan walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Shand lands a hurtful left uppercut.  SHAHAN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Shand wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Shahan dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Shand senses Shahan is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Shand lands a right hook, cross and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SHAHAN IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Shand lands a right uppercut, left hook and a cross to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by  two straights to his opponents head, KNOCKING SHAHAN DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Shahan has now recovered from that shot earlier.
