Marcus McQuay vs Jim Meehan

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 20/08/2032:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the British-Scotland Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Marcus McQuay (36(20) - 1) who hails from Dundee, UK and Jim Meehan(5 - 2 - 1) from Aberdeen, UK.  McQuay weighed in at 236 pounds and 14 ounces, while Meehan weighed in at 252 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Hamish McBeth, and the three ringside judges are Anton Adam, Charlie MacNeal and John McVicker.

McQuay lands a stiff jab.

McQuay quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
McQuay hits home with a hard jab.  
McQuay sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two jabs followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Meehan almost instantly gets his legs back. 
McQuay lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.

Meehan attempts to land a jab, but McQuay sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.

McQuay sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  McQuay drives a potent right hook into Meehan's ribcage.  MEEHAN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Meehan now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Meehan's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Meehan's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

He follows up the attack and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, AND MEEHAN IS DOWN!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Meehan cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is McQuay!
