Oihane Martinez vs Angel Mercedes

Boxing Daily Report from the Majola Promotions promoted show at Córdoba Beltran, Córdoba,  taking place on 15/08/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Argentina Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Publica, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Oihane Martinez (16(12) - 2(2)) who hails from Merlo, Argentina and Angel Mercedes(27 - 9(4) - 4) from Córdoba, Argentina.  Martinez weighed in at 235 pounds and 8 ounces, while Mercedes weighed in at 244 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Juan Mario, and the three ringside judges are Fausto Noyola, Leonel Ponciano and Urvano Bolivar.  

Round 1: 

Martinez finds the target with a jab.

Mercedes attempts to land a left hook, but Martinez blocks the shot and counters with a HUGE cross.  MERCEDES IS HURT!  
Martinez is looking to keep his distance.  Martinez knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Martinez lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a cross to his opponents head, AND MERCEDES IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  Mercedes now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Martinez sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Mercedes advances into close range.  Martinez lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Martinez tries to step out of his opponents range.  Martinez feints a right hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mercedes almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Martinez is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Mercedes is on target with a right hook.  
Martinez is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands with a stinging jab.  
Martinez lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Martinez lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mercedes recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Martinez steps to the outside and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  Martinez attempts to land a jab, but Mercedes slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Martinez steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Mercedes sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mercedes throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Martinez steps away from his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Martinez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a solid jab.  
Martinez pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Martinez lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mercedes quickly recovers. 
Martinez steps to the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mercedes's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Mercedes's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Mercedes walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Martinez connects with a mean cross.  MERCEDES WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Mercedes almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Martinez finds the target with a jab.  
Martinez is looking to keep his distance.  Martinez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2, AND KNOCKS MERCEDES DOWN!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Martinez!
