Adalgar Pflieger vs Ringo Joerger

Boxing Daily Report from the Zimba Promotions promoted show at Karlsruhe Heidmann, Karlsruhe,  taking place on 24/08/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Germany-North Rhine-Westphalia Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Adalgar Pflieger (30(8) - 1 - 1) who hails from Cologne, Germany and Ringo Joerger(6 - 24(1) - 5) from Essen, Germany.  Both Pflieger and Joerger weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jaecar Striegel, and the three ringside judges are Arnaldo Christiansen, Roderich Schafer and Hariman Krohn.  

Round 1: 

Joerger throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Joerger is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Pflieger sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a spiteful jab.  
Pflieger steps inside.  Pflieger sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Pflieger lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Pflieger ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Pflieger pushes his forearm into Joerger's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pflieger.  
Pflieger lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Pflieger holds on to his opponent.  Pflieger leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pflieger closes the distance and connects with a right uppercut.  Pflieger clinches his opponent.  Pflieger pushes his forearm into Joerger's face.  The referee warns Pflieger and breaks the clinch.  
Joerger tries to keep the action at long range.  Pflieger lands a solid jab.  
Pflieger manouvers Joerger onto the ropes.  Pflieger lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Pflieger clinches his opponent.  Pflieger pushes his forearm into Joerger's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pflieger to stop fouling.  
Pflieger lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Pflieger tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Pflieger closes the distance and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  Pflieger clinches his opponent.  Pflieger leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pflieger lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Pflieger ties up his opponent.  Pflieger is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pflieger is on target with a solid left hook to Joerger's body.

Joerger attempts to land a left uppercut, but Pflieger blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Joerger tries to step out of his opponents range.  Pflieger lands two overhand rights followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Pflieger is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Pflieger closes the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
Pflieger lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Pflieger clinches his opponent.  Pflieger leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Pflieger tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Joerger behind the head. The ref breaks Pflieger's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pflieger gets on the inside.  Pflieger quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm right hook to Joerger's ribs.  
Pflieger closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Pflieger manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Pflieger sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Joerger tries to land a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Pflieger steps inside.  Pflieger lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Joerger dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Pflieger gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Pflieger lands a left hook.  
Pflieger closes the distance.  Pflieger pivots to the side of his opponent.  Pflieger lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Pflieger holds on to his opponent.  Pflieger is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Pflieger to stop holding.  
Joerger switches the action to the outside.  Pflieger feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Pflieger steps inside and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Pflieger lands a firm right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Joerger's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Joerger's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Joerger's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Joerger's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Pflieger senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Pflieger lands a big left hook.  DOWN GOES JOERGER!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Joerger now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
