Nao Suzuki vs Ewan Hanmer

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Bell Centre, Montreal,  taking place on 14/08/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Nao Suzuki (5 - 0) who hails from Osaka, Japan and Ewan Hanmer(6 - 3 - 2) from Mississauga, Canada.  Both Suzuki and Hanmer weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Granger Hinault, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Girardot, Varocher Painchaud and Nicholas Prior.  

Round 1: 

Suzuki closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Suzuki pivots to the left of his opponent.  Hanmer throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Suzuki retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Hanmer steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Hanmer is on target with a cross.  
Hanmer pivots to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Suzuki is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.  
Hanmer sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Suzuki lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Suzuki is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to Hanmer's ribs.  Suzuki ties up his opponent.  Suzuki is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Suzuki's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Suzuki tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Suzuki closes the distance.  Hanmer throws a left uppercut, but Suzuki clinches his opponent.  Suzuki pushes his forearm into Hanmer's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Suzuki steps inside.  Hanmer pivots to the right of his opponent.  Hanmer connects with a right hook.  Suzuki ties up his opponent.  Suzuki tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hanmer behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Suzuki about fouling.
