Joaquin Carrion vs Xaverius Merino

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at Velodromo Alcides Nieto Patito, Cali,  taking place on 04/10/2032:

Clearly JSW have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Carrion (15(11) - 0) who hails from Medellin, Colombia and Xaverius Merino(19 - 11 - 4) from Bucaramanga, Colombia.  Both Carrion and Merino weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Pasillas, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Cuenca, Rodrigo Saez and Alejandro Gordon.  

Round 1: 

Merino advances into close range.  Carrion lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Merino almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Carrion is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Merino tries to land a jab, but Carrion sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.

Carrion is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Carrion sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Merino attempts to land a cross, but Carrion slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Carrion lands a jab.  
Carrion lands a jab to the head, a right hook to the body and a jab to the head.  
Merino gets on the inside.  Carrion digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Carrion lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Merino is looking to close the distance.  Carrion lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Carrion holds on to his opponent.  Carrion leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Carrion's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Merino gets on the inside.  Carrion connects with a left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Merino dabs at his face checking for damage.
