Hisoka Nagao vs Fumio Matsuoka

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Hyogo promoted show at Kobe Kawata, Kobe,  taking place on 23/07/2032:

Clearly AI Japan-Hyogo have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hyogo Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hisoka Nagao (8(2) - 0) who hails from Takarazuka, Japan and Fumio Matsuoka(2 - 13(1) - 4) from Kobe, Japan.  Both Nagao and Matsuoka weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hisoka Iida, and the three ringside judges are Fumio Imai, Aoi Ohno and Ryuu Aoki.  

Round 1: 

Nagao advances into close range.  Nagao pivots from in front of his opponent.  Nagao lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Nagao holds on to his opponent.  Matsuoka is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Nagao pushes his forearm into Matsuoka's face.  The ref breaks Nagao's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Nagao pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nagao digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Nagao clinches his opponent.  Matsuoka pushes his forearm into Nagao's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Matsuoka.  
Nagao is on target with a jab to Matsuoka's body.  
Matsuoka gets on the inside.  Nagao pivots to the right of his opponent and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Nagao voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Matsuoka steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Nagao is on target with a right hook.  
Nagao lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Matsuoka throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Nagao switches the action to the outside and hits home with an overhand right.

Matsuoka throws a left uppercut, but Nagao holds on to his opponent.  Nagao is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Nagao about fouling.  
Nagao steps away from his opponent and hits home with a stinging cross.  
Nagao gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Nagao lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Matsuoka pivots to the side of his opponent.  Nagao lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  Nagao holds on to his opponent.  Nagao leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nagao is looking to keep his distance and lands a stiff jab.  
Nagao steps away from his opponent and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Matsuoka gets on the inside.  Matsuoka quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Nagao hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
Nagao closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps.  Nagao holds on to his opponent.  Nagao leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Nagao's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Matsuoka connects with a left hook.  
Matsuoka throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Nagao closes the distance and drives a right hook into Matsuoka's body.

Nagao steps inside and is on target with a right hook to Matsuoka's body.  
Nagao gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Matsuoka's ribs.  
Nagao lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Nagao throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Nagao senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Nagao lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head, KNOCKING MATSUOKA DOWN!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Nagao!
