Charles Mears vs Fred Baines

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Central England promoted show at National Space Centre, Leicester,  taking place on 17/08/2032:

Clearly AI UK-Central England have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Charles No Tears Mears (23(4) - 6(4)) who hails from Coventry, UK and Fred Baines(22 - 14(5) - 2) from Sheffield, UK.  Both Mears and Baines weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alexander McClenny, and the three ringside judges are Euan Culbertson, Johnny Finn and Robert Boduch.  

Round 1: 

Mears quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Baines throws a right uppercut, but Mears clinches his opponent.  Mears leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Mears pushes his forearm into Baines's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Mears advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Mears ties up his opponent.  Mears pushes his forearm into Baines's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Mears is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Mears steps inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Mears connects with a firm right uppercut.

Mears is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Mears lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING BAINES DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Baines now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
