Dante Berlato vs Cristiano Scagni

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Italy-Liguria promoted show at Genoa Menia, Genoa,  taking place on 19/09/2032:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Liguria Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dante Berlato (10 - 7(1) - 5) who hails from La Spezia, Italy and Cristiano Scagni(7(2) - 0) from La Spezia, Italy.  Berlato weighed in at 176 pounds and 1 ounces, while Scagni weighed in at 175 pounds.    As Berlato came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Bernardo Prosperini, and the three ringside judges are Marco Masoero, Fausto Bordiga and Gianluca Bergomi.  

Round 1: 

Scagni gets on the inside and lands a solid right hook.  Scagni clinches his opponent.  Scagni pushes his forearm into Berlato's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Scagni sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Scagni lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Scagni clinches his opponent.  Scagni is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Scagni to stop fouling.  
Scagni drives a stinging left hook into Berlato's body.  Scagni holds on to his opponent.  Scagni leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Scagni attempts to land a left hook, but Berlato blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Scagni closes the distance and digs in a stinging left hook to Berlato's body.  
Scagni lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Scagni closes the distance.  Scagni sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Berlato throws a left hook, but Scagni holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Scagni pushes his forearm into Berlato's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Scagni to stop fouling.  
Scagni closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Berlato is looking to close the distance.  Scagni attempts to land a right uppercut, but Berlato slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Scagni lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Scagni lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Scagni ties up his opponent.  Scagni throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Scagni advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Scagni manouvers his opponent into the blue corner.  Scagni lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Scagni holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Scagni pushes his forearm into Berlato's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Scagni about fouling.  
Scagni digs in a right hook to Berlato's body.  
Scagni drives a sharp right hook into Berlato's ribs.  
Scagni lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Scagni lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Berlato tries to step out of his opponents range.  Scagni senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Berlato and just needs the right shot.  Scagni SLAMS a HUGE left uppercut into his opponents face.  BERLATO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  
Scagni gets on the inside.  Scagni lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS BERLATO!  He manages to get up at 5.  Berlato now seems to have got his legs back.  
Scagni manages to force Berlato into the corner.  Scagni lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Scagni throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Scagni holds on to his opponent.  Scagni leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Berlato's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Berlato's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Berlato's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Scagni connects with a spiteful left uppercut.  BERLATO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT BERLATO CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Scagni!
