Joel Cheromei vs Zafa Abdulla

Boxing Daily Report from the Konga Promotions promoted show at Nairobi Obaid, Nairobi,  taking place on 24/09/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joel Cheromei (12 - 6 - 3) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Zafa Abdulla(8 - 7(1) - 3) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Cheromei and Abdulla weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is LeBron Naikuni, and the three ringside judges are Armani Kipchoim, Bob Mbiyu and Richie Bitok.  

Round 1: 

Abdulla steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Abdulla closes the distance.  Abdulla pivots from in front of his opponent.  Cheromei connects with a right hook.  
Abdulla is looking to close the distance.  Abdulla attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Cheromei time to recover.
