John Gamba vs Sammy Matthew

Boxing Daily Report from the Goldie Bunzworth promoted show at New York City Grieve, New York City,  taking place on 06/10/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-New York State Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Gamba (15 - 13 - 7) who hails from New York City, USA and Sammy Matthew(24 - 14(2) - 3) from New York City, USA.  Gamba weighed in at 174 pounds and 15 ounces, while Matthew weighed in at 175 pounds and 12 ounces.    As Matthew came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Rich Lawter, and the three ringside judges are Leo Cary, John Purcell and Lloyd Lua.  

Round 1: 

Matthew throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Gamba to the neutral corner.  He warns Matthew that he could be heading for a point deduction.

Matthew switches the action to the outside and is on target with an overhand right.  
Matthew pivots to the right of his opponent.  Gamba finds the target with a jab.  
Matthew steps inside.  Gamba connects with a right uppercut.  
Gamba steps to the outside.  Gamba sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.  
Matthew advances into close range and walks Gamba down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Matthew quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into Gamba's body.
