Eric Owens vs Carolus Beaubien

Boxing Daily Report from the Belpit Promo #5 promoted show at Palais des Sports Jean-Weille, Nancy,  taking place on 24/10/2032:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Eric Rusty Owens (35(21) - 1) who hails from Edinburgh, UK and Carolus Beaubien(16(6) - 2(1)) from Rennes, France.  Both Owens and Beaubien weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Glanville Lucier, and the three ringside judges are Vail Jean-Baptiste, Sergeant Brunet and Guy Dubreuil.  

Round 1: 

Owens advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Owens tries to land a cross, but Beaubien sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Owens is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Owens is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Owens closes the distance and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Beaubien is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a stiff jab.  
Owens gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Beaubien attempts to land a jab, but Owens sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Beaubien connects with a cross.  
Beaubien pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Owens closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Owens lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Owens steps inside and drives a telling left uppercut into Beaubien's ribs.  BEAUBIEN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Owens knows Beaubien is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Owens slams a mean left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  DOWN GOES BEAUBIEN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Beaubien now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Owens advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Beaubien hits home with a cross.  
Owens advances into close range and drives a left hook into Beaubien's body.  
Owens pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Owens forces Beaubien to back into the blue corner.  Owens sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Owens lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Owens attempts to land a left uppercut, but Beaubien blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  Beaubien quickly recovers. 
Owens is on target with a solid right hook to Beaubien's body.  Owens attempts to land a right uppercut, but Beaubien blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Owens lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Owens connects with a firm right hook.  
Owens closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Owens drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Owens gets on the inside.  Owens pivots from in front of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Beaubien lands a hard jab.  
Owens closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to Beaubien's body.  
Owens drives a sharp left hook into Beaubien's body.  
Beaubien waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Owens attempts to land a jab, but Beaubien sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Beaubien tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with an overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Beaubien's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Beaubien connects with a cross.  Beaubien tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Owens closes the distance and lands a sharp left hook.  
Beaubien lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Beaubien throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Beaubien steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Owens closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Owens forces Beaubien to retreat onto the ropes.  Owens is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Owens lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, KNOCKING BEAUBIEN DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Owens lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND BEAUBIEN IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Beaubien steps away from his opponent.  Owens lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS BEAUBIEN!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Owens!
