Jose Zermeno vs Xaver Gardin

Boxing Daily Report from the Mwase Promotions promoted show at Sancho Calleja Gym, San Bernardo,  taking place on 21/10/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Chile-Santiago Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Zermeno (5 - 8(1) - 2) who hails from Santiago, Chile and Xaver Gardin(4 - 5(1) - 1) from Santiago, Chile.  Both Zermeno and Gardin weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Porfio Cristobal, and the three ringside judges are Diego Vidales, Salvador Olivo and Luis Arquilla.  

Round 1: 

Gardin steps to the outside.  Zermeno hits home with an overhand left.  
Zermeno lands a cross.  
Zermeno pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Gardin gets on the inside.  Zermeno sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Gardin.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Gardin manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Gardin pivots from in front of his opponent.  Zermeno attempts to land a right hook, but Gardin slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gardin pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Gardin switches the action to the outside.  Zermeno sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gardin's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Zermeno retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Gardin accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Zermeno.  Gardin connects with a right uppercut.  
Zermeno tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Gardin steps inside.  Zermeno lands a left uppercut.  
Gardin is looking to keep his distance and connects with a cross.

Gardin closes the distance.  Gardin lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!
