Vicente Diaz vs Quico Velez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Honduras-Cortes promoted show at San Pedro Sula Urda, San Pedro Sula,  taking place on 23/10/2032:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Honduras-Cortes Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Todo Deportes TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicente Diaz (13 - 11 - 5) who hails from San Pedro Sula, Honduras and Quico Velez(8(5) - 1) from Choloma, Honduras.  Both Diaz and Velez weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Adan, and the three ringside judges are Rogelio Islas, Hernan Barrantes and Fidel Llorente.  

Round 1:

Velez manouvers Diaz into the blue corner.  Velez lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Velez holds on to his opponent.  Velez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Velez and breaks the clinch.  
Velez lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Diaz has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
