Jacob Fergus vs Chinedu Onubogu

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Canberra Stadium, Canberra,  taking place on 30/12/2032:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Commonwealth Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jacob Fergus (30(24) - 0) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Chinedu Onubogu(32(28) - 6(2)) from Mamelodi, South Africa.  Fergus weighed in at 228 pounds and 4 ounces, while Onubogu weighed in at 213 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Neil Cookston, and the three ringside judges are Brad Hewitt, Sam Savage and Neil Cookston.  

Round 1: 

Onubogu gets on the inside and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Onubogu tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Onubogu lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Fergus recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
