Clinton Curran vs Chris Ponton

Boxing Daily Report from the Alhassan Promotions promoted show at Perth Mill, Perth,  taking place on 22/12/2032:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia-Western Australia Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Clinton Curran (11 - 6(6)) who hails from Perth, Australia and Chris Ponton(8 - 8(2) - 4) from Perth, Australia.  Both Curran and Ponton weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Vaughn, and the three ringside judges are Vince Kelty, Kenzie Pembroke and Ethan Spang.  

Round 1: 

Curran drives a jab into Ponton's body.  
Curran gets on the inside.  Curran quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ponton tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Curran wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ponton dabs at his face checking for damage.  Ponton has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.
