Rob Pfannenstiel vs Justin Matthew

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Michigan promoted show at Grand Rapids Napier, Grand Rapids,  taking place on 01/01/2033:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Michigan Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rob Pfannenstiel (7 - 2) who hails from Detroit, USA and Justin Matthew(10 - 11 - 5) from Detroit, USA.  Both Pfannenstiel and Matthew weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Harvey Gheeraert, and the three ringside judges are Phil Boydston, Amon Watters and James Haddow.  

Round 1: 

Pfannenstiel gets on the inside.  Pfannenstiel is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pfannenstiel sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Pfannenstiel lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Pfannenstiel walks Matthew onto the ropes.  Pfannenstiel lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Pfannenstiel drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  Pfannenstiel ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Pfannenstiel pushes his forearm into Matthew's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pfannenstiel about fouling.  
Pfannenstiel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Matthew wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Pfannenstiel.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.  
Pfannenstiel pivots to the side of his opponent.  Matthew throws a right hook, but Pfannenstiel ties up his opponent.  Pfannenstiel leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pfannenstiel lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Pfannenstiel ties up his opponent.  Pfannenstiel tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Matthew's kidney. The referee warns Pfannenstiel and breaks the clinch.

Pfannenstiel closes the distance.  Matthew quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Pfannenstiel lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.

Pfannenstiel gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Pfannenstiel lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Pfannenstiel lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pfannenstiel manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Pfannenstiel throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Pfannenstiel clinches his opponent.  Pfannenstiel leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pfannenstiel lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Pfannenstiel.  The foul has worsened the damage  around the left eye.

Pfannenstiel advances into close range.  Pfannenstiel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Pfannenstiel leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Matthew is whaling away with hooks, but Pfannenstiel keeps his defence tight.  Matthew wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pfannenstiel dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Matthew's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Matthew's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Matthew's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
