Diego Batista vs Xavier Alvaro

Boxing Daily Report from the Chola Promotions promoted show at Brasilia Portela, Brasilia,  taking place on 19/01/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Distrito Federal Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Batista (14 - 10 - 4) who hails from Brasilia, Brazil and Xavier Alvaro(26 - 4) from Brasilia, Brazil.  Batista weighed in at 135 pounds and 12 ounces, while Alvaro weighed in at 135 pounds.    As Batista came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Orlando Sardinha, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Pedroso, Hilario Saade and Frisco Pires.
