Inigo Mortimer vs James Carver

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Caesars Palace Pavilion, Las Vegas,  taking place on 14/01/2033:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Inigo Mortimer (12(5) - 0) who hails from Philadelphia, USA and James Carver(14 - 5 - 1) from Los Angeles, USA.  Both Mortimer and Carver weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alastair Harle, and the three ringside judges are Edward Almodovar, Danny Doctor and Ollie Latta.  

Round 1: 

Carver throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer is looking to close the distance and lands a firm left hook.  
Mortimer cuts off the ring, trapping Carver on the ropes.  Mortimer lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Mortimer is on target with a firm left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Mortimer drives a stinging left hook into his opponents liver.  
Carver is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right.  
Mortimer lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Mortimer is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mortimer digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mortimer is looking to close the distance.  Carver throws a left hook, but Mortimer ties up his opponent.  Mortimer uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Carver's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mortimer walks Carver into the red corner.  Mortimer lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Some sustained pressure from Mortimer could be enough to finish Carver!  Mortimer slams a hurtful right uppercut into Carver's body.  CARVER HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Carver has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Mortimer lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Mortimer lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Carver leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Mortimer is whaling away with hooks, but Carver keeps his defence tight.  Mortimer connects with a stinging cross.  
Mortimer is on target with a solid left hook to Carver's liver.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Mortimer holds on to his opponent.  Mortimer leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mortimer quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Mortimer contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Carver attempts to land a left uppercut, but Mortimer dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Carver's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Carver's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Carver's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Mortimer tries to land a left uppercut, but Carver blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mortimer sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Mortimer ties up his opponent.  Mortimer leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mortimer pivots from in front of his opponent.  Carver hits home with a right uppercut.  
Mortimer closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Mortimer senses Carver is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Mortimer drives a forceful right hook into Carver's body.  CARVER IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Carver has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Mortimer lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mortimer connects with a solid left hook.  
Mortimer is on target with a firm cross.  
Mortimer gets on the inside.  Carver connects with a right hook.  
Mortimer advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and lands a stinging right uppercut.  
Mortimer lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mortimer drives a firm left hook into his opponents liver.  CARVER IS HURT!

Carver steps to the outside.  Mortimer feints a right hook, but Carver is not fooled and lands with a right uppercut.  
Mortimer closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Carver connects with a cross.  
Mortimer is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  Mortimer tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mortimer closes the distance and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and drives a telling left hook into Carver's body.  DOWN GOES CARVER!  HE FAILS TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Mortimer!
