Boxing Daily Report from the Joe Mama promoted show at Joshua Grillini Gym, Sydney,  taking place on 31/01/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Kai Grant (3 - 0 - 1) who hails from Perth, Australia and Cody Beatty(12 - 6(1)) from Wollongong, Australia.  Grant weighed in at 117 pounds And 13 ounces, while Beatty weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin McKay, and the three ringside judges are Richard Bean, Arnie Lipton and Mark Karalis.  

Round 1: 

Grant gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Beatty pivots to the left of his opponent.  Grant lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Grant is on target with a left hook.  
Grant hits home with a sharp cross.  
Grant advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.

Grant closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Grant ties up his opponent.  Grant pushes his forearm into Beatty's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Grant to stop fouling.  
Beatty is looking to keep his distance.  Grant is on target with a jab.  Grant tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Beatty steps away from his opponent.  Grant lands a cross, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.

Grant hits home with a right hook.  Grant clinches his opponent.  Grant leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Grant quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Beatty throws a right hook, but Grant ties up his opponent.  Grant is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Grant's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Beatty's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Beatty's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
