Richard Bricken vs John Pierce

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Saint Catherine promoted show at Zach Turner Gym, Spanish Town,  taking place on 25/01/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Jamaica-Saint Catherine Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Richard Bricken (5 - 9 - 2) who hails from Portmore, Jamaica and John Pierce(4 - 9 - 3) from Spanish Town, Jamaica.  Bricken weighed in at 167 pounds and 14 ounces, while Pierce weighed in at 167 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Oscar Coats, and the three ringside judges are David Ross, Barry Pryce and Brin Hume.  

Round 1: 

Bricken is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Pierce lands an overhand right.  
Bricken attempts to land a cross, but Pierce slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Bricken quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Pierce's body.  As Pierce tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bricken dabs at his face checking for damage.  Bricken has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
