Obafemi Folawiyo vs Yakubu Abedi

Boxing Daily Report from the Mbeki Promotions promoted show at Efe Obiajunwa Gym, Umuahia,  taking place on 31/01/2033:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Abia State Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Obafemi Folawiyo (5 - 6 - 3) who hails from Aba, Nigeria and Yakubu Abedi(15 - 11(1) - 2) from Aba, Nigeria.  Both Folawiyo and Abedi weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tunde Obode, and the three ringside judges are Emem Gberu, Zuffur Kabir and Farhan Moussa.  

Round 1: 

Folawiyo gets on the inside.  Abedi pivots to the right of his opponent.  Folawiyo lands a left hook.  
Folawiyo steps inside.  Abedi pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Abedi dabs at his face checking for damage.  Abedi has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Folawiyo's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Abedi's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.
