Brett Moncayo vs Justin Yorath

Boxing Daily Report from the Eddie Burns promoted show at San Diego Alcaraz, San Diego,  taking place on 05/02/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brett Moncayo (5(3) - 0) who hails from Reno, USA and Justin Yorath(12 - 4(1) - 7) from El Paso, USA.  Both Moncayo and Yorath weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Obaid Abdelnour, and the three ringside judges are Sam Salvas, Oliver Craddock and Lewis Suttie.  

Round 1: 

Yorath sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Moncayo lands a stiff jab.  
Moncayo lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Yorath recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Yorath steps inside.  Moncayo connects with a right hook.

Moncayo feints a right hook, and then hits the target with a spiteful jab.

Yorath is looking to close the distance.  Moncayo lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Moncayo clinches his opponent.  Moncayo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Moncayo tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a cross.  
Moncayo connects with a sharp cross.  
Moncayo feints a cross, and then lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Yorath's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Yorath's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Yorath's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Moncayo lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Yorath quickly recovers.

Yorath closes the distance.  Moncayo lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Moncayo is on target with a stinging overhand right.

Yorath gets on the inside and manouvers Moncayo onto the ropes.  Moncayo digs in a firm left uppercut to Yorath's body.  
Moncayo hits home with a stinging cross.  
Moncayo lands with a sharp jab.  
Moncayo feints a left, and then lands a spiteful jab.  
Yorath is looking to close the distance.  Moncayo lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Moncayo tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Moncayo connects with a hurtful overhand left.  IT LOOKS LIKE YORATH WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Yorath quickly recovers. 
Moncayo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.

Moncayo lands a left hook to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Moncayo drives a firm left uppercut into Yorath's body.  
Moncayo switches the action to the outside.  Moncayo feints a left hook, and then lands with a spiteful jab.  
Moncayo connects with a firm cross.  
Yorath advances into close range.  Yorath quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Moncayo lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Moncayo lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Moncayo senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Moncayo lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head, DROPPING YORATH TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Yorath now seems to have his senses back.

Moncayo lands two jabs followed by an overhand left to his opponents head, KNOCKING YORATH DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Moncayo!
