Davie Jepchumba vs Alec Waweru

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kisumu promoted show at Mark Aiyabei Gym, Kisumu,  taking place on 23/02/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Kisumu Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Davie Jepchumba (8 - 6 - 3) who hails from Kisumu, Kenya and Alec Waweru(16 - 8 - 3) from Kisumu, Kenya.  Both Jepchumba and Waweru weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Kirui, and the three ringside judges are Arthur Wacera, Alen Mwamzandi and Paul Babla.  

Round 1: 

Waweru lands an overhand right.  
Jepchumba walks Waweru down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Waweru connects with a right hook.
