Taras Tkachuk vs Rex Dingwell

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 23/04/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Taras Tkachuk (8(7) - 0) who hails from Gomel, Belarus and Rex Dingwell(9 - 2(1)) from Surrey, Canada.  Tkachuk weighed in at 147 pounds, while Dingwell weighed in at 146 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Stephen Morton, and the three ringside judges are Carvell Brame, Carvell Brame and Granger Hinault.  

Round 1: 

Tkachuk closes the distance.  Dingwell tries to land a right hook, but Tkachuk sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Tkachuk steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Tkachuk clinches his opponent.  Tkachuk is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Tkachuk's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Tkachuk contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Dingwell throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Dingwell's body.  
Tkachuk is on target with a solid left hook to Dingwell's liver.  
Dingwell is on target with a left hook.  
Tkachuk drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Dingwell lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Dingwell pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Dingwell manouvers Tkachuk onto the ropes.  Dingwell hits home with a cross.  
Dingwell tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a BRUTAL left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE DINGWELL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Dingwell quickly recovers. 
Dingwell lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Tkachuk drives a potent right hook into Dingwell's ribs.  DINGWELL IS HURT!  Dingwell almost instantly recovers. 
Dingwell is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Tkachuk advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Dingwell recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Dingwell throws a left uppercut, but Tkachuk ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Tkachuk pushes his forearm into Dingwell's face.  The ref breaks Tkachuk's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dingwell lands a solid cross.  Dingwell tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a FEROCIOUS left hook.  DINGWELL IS HURT!  
Dingwell walks Tkachuk down, trapping him on the ropes.  Tkachuk knows Dingwell is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Tkachuk lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS DINGWELL!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Dingwell now seems to have got his legs back.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Tkachuk's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Dingwell's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Tkachuk gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Tkachuk senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Tkachuk lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DINGWELL IS DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Tkachuk!
