Jing Chen vs Lei Ju

Boxing Daily Report from the Chinese Boxing promoted show at Shanghai Ouyeung, Shanghai,  taking place on 16/04/2033:

Clearly Chinese Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the China-Shanghai Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jing Chen (10 - 14 - 7) who hails from Shanghai, China and Lei Ju(11 - 10 - 8) from Shanghai, China.  Both Chen and Ju weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lee Tie, and the three ringside judges are Huang-fu Bao, Genjo Miao and An Sieh.  

Round 1: 

Ju is on target with a left hook.  
Chen tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ju is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Chen tries to land a jab, but Ju slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ju is looking to close the distance.  Chen lands a right hook.

Ju steps inside and manouvers his opponent into the blue corner.  Chen attempts to land a left hook, but Ju sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Chen's body.  
Ju gets on the inside.  Chen tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Chen's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Ju's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Ju advances into close range.  Ju pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  Ju wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Chen dabs at his face checking for damage.  Chen has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
