John Aleksandrov vs Cole Smith

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at AAMI Park, Melbourne,  taking place on 30/04/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Oceania Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Aleksandrov (13(9) - 3 - 1) who hails from Canberra, Australia and Cole Smith(27 - 11(7)) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Aleksandrov weighed in at 168 pounds, while Smith weighed in at 167 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aaron Hilling, and the three ringside judges are Sean Desmond, James Christou and Gareth Dovey.  

Round 1: 

Smith tries to keep the action at long range.  Aleksandrov feints a right hook, but Smith ignores the feint and responds with a left hook.
