Inigo Mortimer vs Alec Rowan

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Las Vegas,  taking place on 15/04/2033:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Inigo Mortimer (14(7) - 0) who hails from Philadelphia, USA and Alec Rowan(13 - 2 - 3) from New York City, USA.  Both Mortimer and Rowan weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alec Rees, and the three ringside judges are Vincent Ovens, Amon Gibson and Vincent Ovens.  

Round 1: 

Mortimer gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Rowan feints a right hook, and then is on target with a jab.  
Mortimer lands a right hook.  
Mortimer advances into close range and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Mortimer is on target with a firm left hook to Rowan's body.  
Mortimer hits home with a right uppercut.  
Mortimer advances into close range.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rowan dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  
Mortimer is on target with a left uppercut to Rowan's body.  
Rowan throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Rowan is looking to keep the action on the outside and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Mortimer whips in a spiteful left hook to Rowan's liver.  ROWAN IS HURT!  Rowan recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mortimer drives a stinging right hook into Rowan's body.  
Mortimer lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Mortimer knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Mortimer lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a cross to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body, DROPPING ROWAN TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like Rowan has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Mortimer walks Rowan down, trapping him in the corner.  Mortimer lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
As Mortimer tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rowan dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Rowan throws a left hook, but Mortimer holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mortimer digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer digs in a sharp right uppercut to Rowan's ribcage.  Mortimer holds on to his opponent.  Mortimer is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Rowan tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Mortimer lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND ROWAN IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Some sustained pressure from Mortimer could be enough to finish Rowan!  Mortimer lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING ROWAN DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Mortimer lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Rowan now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Mortimer lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Mortimer holds on to his opponent.  Mortimer tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Rowan behind the head. The referee warns Mortimer and breaks the clinch.  
Mortimer quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and slams a spiteful right hook into his opponents ribs.  ROWAN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Rowan almost instantly recovers.
