Zachary Pyper vs Mel Lozada

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Milford Ice Pavillion, Waterbury,  taking place on 23/04/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Zachary Pyper (6(3) - 0) who hails from Moreno Valley, USA and Mel Lozada(2 - 2 - 1) from Irvine, USA.  Both Pyper and Lozada weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Rennick, and the three ringside judges are Ian Parry, Paul Muncie and Darryl Stephen.  

Round 1: 

Pyper lands an overhand left to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Pyper feints a cross, but Lozada ignores the feint and lands with a left uppercut.  
Pyper switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Pyper lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Pyper steps to the outside and connects with a stinging overhand left.

Lozada gets on the inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Pyper lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pyper steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
Pyper quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Pyper pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a solid cross.  
Lozada is looking to close the distance.  Pyper lands a right uppercut.

Lozada steps inside.  As Lozada tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pyper dabs at his face checking for damage.  Pyper has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Lozada cuts off the ring, trapping Pyper on the ropes.  Lozada throws a right hook, but Pyper ties up his opponent.  Pyper pushes his forearm into Lozada's face.  The referee warns Pyper and breaks the clinch.
