Laurent Moreau vs Launcelot Artaud

Boxing Daily Report from the Wigwam Promotions promoted show at Marius Ndiaye Arena, Dakar,  taking place on 14/05/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Laurent Moreau (10(5) - 0 - 1) who hails from Dakar, Senegal and Launcelot Artaud(5 - 7) from Dakar, Senegal.  Moreau weighed in at 112 pounds, while Artaud weighed in at 111 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aramis Gassama, and the three ringside judges are Royal Lievremont, Royal Ankah and Acelin Badji.  

Round 1: 

Artaud retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Moreau steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Moreau digs in a stinging right hook to Artaud's body.  
Moreau is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Moreau clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Moreau pushes his forearm into Artaud's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Moreau connects with a left hook.  
Moreau throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Moreau clinches his opponent.  Moreau is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Moreau.  
Moreau attempts to land a left hook, but Artaud blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Moreau closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Moreau lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Moreau gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.

Moreau steps inside and hits home with a solid left uppercut.  Moreau clinches his opponent.  Moreau leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Moreau steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Moreau lands a firm cross.  
Moreau pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Moreau feints a cross, tricking Artaud into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Moreau avoids the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Moreau is looking to close the distance and hits home with a firm right uppercut.  
Moreau advances into close range and digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.  Moreau holds on to his opponent.  Moreau uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Artaud behind the head. Moreau leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Moreau pushes his forearm into Artaud's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Moreau about fouling.  
Moreau steps inside and drives a solid right uppercut into Artaud's body.  
Moreau lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Moreau holds on to his opponent.  Moreau leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Moreau's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Moreau lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING ARTAUD DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.  Artaud recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Moreau sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a firm cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Artaud's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Artaud's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Artaud's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Round 2: 

Moreau lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  Moreau tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Moreau lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Artaud recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Moreau closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Moreau is on target with a stinging right uppercut to Artaud's ribcage.  
Moreau drives a right hook into Artaud's ribs.  
Moreau lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS ARTAUD TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Moreau lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Moreau dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Artaud tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.  
Moreau closes the distance.  Moreau sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Artaud throws a left hook, but Moreau clinches his opponent.  Moreau is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Moreau and breaks the clinch.  
Moreau lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Moreau drives a right hook into Artaud's body.  
Moreau feints a left, and then lands a right hook, left hook and a cross to his opponents head.  
Moreau is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Moreau pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Moreau digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Moreau steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Artaud quickly recovers. 
Moreau lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Moreau is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.

Moreau slams a hurtful left hook into Artaud's ribs.  ARTAUD IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Moreau steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Artaud almost instantly recovers. 
Moreau advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Moreau advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Moreau clinches his opponent.  Moreau leans on his opponent using all his weight. Moreau uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Artaud's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Artaud quickly recovers.

Artaud tries to keep the action at long range.  Moreau feints a jab, and then lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.

The ref stops the action and sends Artaud to the neutral corner.  He takes Moreau's arm and signals to each judge that a point should be deducted!  Artaud almost instantly recovers.

Artaud switches the action to the outside.  Moreau stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Moreau drives a forceful right uppercut into his opponents body.  DOWN GOES ARTAUD!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Artaud has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Moreau gets on the inside.  Moreau quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DROPS ARTAUD TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Artaud can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Moreau!
