Quico Vagay vs John Magdaluyo

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Philippine Arena, Santa Maria,  taking place on 30/06/2033:

Clearly ADR Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Philippines-Bulacan Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SkyPerfec, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Quico The Thing Vagay (50(22) - 9(3) - 2) who hails from San Jose del Monte, Philippines and John Magdaluyo(11 - 6 - 5) from Malolos, Philippines.  Vagay weighed in at 118 pounds, while Magdaluyo weighed in at 117 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Xavier Maniquis, and the three ringside judges are Emilio Macalintal, Quito Dalaque and Fausto Macaroy.  

Round 1: 

Vagay closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Vagay holds on to his opponent.  Vagay pushes his forearm into Magdaluyo's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Vagay to stop fouling.  
Magdaluyo throws a left hook, but Vagay ties up his opponent.  Vagay uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Magdaluyo's kidney. The referee warns Vagay and breaks the clinch.  
Vagay digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Vagay ties up his opponent.  Vagay leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Vagay steps inside and connects with a sharp left hook.  Vagay holds on to his opponent.  Vagay uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Magdaluyo's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Vagay about fouling.  
Magdaluyo throws a left hook, but Vagay holds on to his opponent.  Vagay is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Vagay wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Magdaluyo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Vagay walks his opponent into the corner.  Vagay sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Vagay steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Vagay closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Vagay is on target with a left uppercut to Magdaluyo's body.  
Vagay forces Magdaluyo to back into the corner.  Vagay hits home with a left uppercut.

Vagay lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  Vagay ties up his opponent.  Vagay leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.

Vagay steps inside and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Vagay holds on to his opponent.  Vagay tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Magdaluyo behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Vagay.  
Vagay gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Vagay hits home with a left hook.

Vagay forces Magdaluyo to back into the ropes.  Vagay hits home with a solid right hook.  
Magdaluyo throws a right uppercut, but Vagay holds on to his opponent.  Vagay leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Vagay to stop holding.  
Vagay throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Magdaluyo throws a left hook, but Vagay holds on to his opponent.  Vagay is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Vagay to stop holding.  
Vagay hits home with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Magdaluyo's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Magdaluyo's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Magdaluyo's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Magdaluyo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Vagay hits home with a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Magdaluyo has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.
