Mark Connolly vs Rob Wight

Boxing Daily Report from the Rico Boxing Promotions promoted show at Cincinnati Schappert, Cincinnati,  taking place on 06/06/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Ohio Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Connolly (14 - 12(1) - 1) who hails from Columbus, USA and Rob Wight(6(2) - 1(1)) from Columbus, USA.  Connolly weighed in at 168 pounds, while Wight weighed in at 167 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul Strassman, and the three ringside judges are Phil Hines, James Marean and Rob Monaghan.  

Round 1: 

Wight attempts to land a cross, but Connolly slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Wight's body.  
Connolly hits home with a cross.  
Wight closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Connolly in a neutral corner.  Wight lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Wight is looking to close the distance and connects with a solid right hook.  
Wight digs in a stinging left uppercut to Connolly's body.  
Wight sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Wight lands a sharp right hook.  Wight holds on to his opponent.  Wight is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Wight about fouling.

Wight closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Wight ties up his opponent.  Wight leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Connolly pushes his forearm into Wight's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Connolly.  Wight attempts to land a left hook, but Connolly sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Wight advances into close range and walks Connolly down, trapping him in the corner.  Wight digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Wight is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.

Wight gets on the inside.  Connolly pivots to the right of his opponent.  Wight throws a right hook, but misses the target.  Wight clinches his opponent.  Wight uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Connolly behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Connolly pivots to the left of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Connolly dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Connolly tries to land a right hook, but Wight slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Wight walks Connolly down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Connolly lands a right hook.  Connolly attempts to land a right uppercut, but Wight blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Wight lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Wight closes the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
As Connolly tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wight dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Wight advances into close range and digs in a left hook to Connolly's body.  Wight ties up his opponent.  Wight leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Wight steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Wight sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Wight throws a right hook, but is unable to find the target.  Wight clinches his opponent.  Wight uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Connolly's kidney. The referee warns Wight and breaks the clinch.

Wight lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Wight is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Wight cuts off the ring, trapping Connolly in the corner.  Wight drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  Wight clinches his opponent.  Wight leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Wight's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
